Review Policy

General Information

I am currently accepting select Young Adult books for review. You can send me emails through marceyforever@gmail.com.

I am NOT reviewing mangas, graphic sex books, erotica, and any type of those novels, etc.

I accept ARCS, finished copies, and unfinished copies. If the book you want me to review is in the middle or part of a series, I may need the previous books. 

I am NOT accepting e-books and self-published books (unless it’s YA I may ask the description).

Genres

You could check out if your book is on my To-Be-Read Shelf. If it is, then you’d know I’d definitely would want to read it! 

I enjoy YA in the following genres:

• Dystopia
• Fantasy
• Mystery
• Humor
• Romance
• Fairy tale retellings
• Contemporary 
• Action & Adventure
• Maybe some Historical Fiction

I am not accepting books in the following genres:

• Non-fiction
• Non romance contemporary books
• Memoirs/biographies
• Free verse layout
• Poetry
• Christian Fiction
• Political books

Accepting Books

If I accept a book, that does not guarantee a review, but it does guarantee a promotion through my social networks such as goodreads, twitter, and my tumblr.

I will try my best to read and finish your book, if you ask me to review it.

Reviews

I will write a review for almost every young-adult book I read. I will sometimes write something on goodreads as well. My reviews I write are not objective literary critiques.

I write fair and honest reviews, but that doesn’t mean it won’t be positive. My reviews are my opinion, If I don’t enjoy a book, my review will respond for it.

With that said, I do NOT say anything snarky or rude about the author.

If I do not finish a book I may write an explanation for DNF-ing. These explanations are different from standard reviews and will state that I did not finish the book, what page I read up to, why I did not finish, and if I plan on ever picking up the book again.

Review Structure

All reviews will include the following:

• Cover Art
• Book Stats: Title, Author, Publisher, Page count, Release Date, etc.
• When I started the book
• A summary (from goodreads/amazon)
• My review- what I liked and didn’t like
• Star Rating out of 5
