Summary:
After spending one life-changing day in Paris with laid-back Dutch actor Willem De Ruiter, sheltered American good girl Allyson “Lulu” Healey discovered her new lover had disappeared without a trace. Just One Day followed Allyson’s quest to reunite with Willem; Just One Year chronicled the pair’s year apart from Willem’s perspective. Now, back together at last, this delectable e-novella reveals the couple’s final chapter.
My Thoughts:
I was pretty hesitant adding this to my cart, but now I know it was way with 99 cents. I've been falling in love with Gayle Forman's writing rapidly after If I Stay and Where She Went. Just One Day wasn't my favorite YA Contemporary, but I surprisingly picked up JUST ONE NIGHT because I was really curious what happened next. I didn't pick up Just One Year because I heard it's not really a sequel and I wasn't a fan of Willem's character. But after reading the enovella, I respected the characters more and it was an appropriate ending to this love story.
I'm not going to spoil Just One Day, but basically it follows Allyson Healey on her Senior Tour in Europe and she was only looking forward to Paris. But Paris got cancelled and now she is determined to visit Paris. She then meets Dutch actor, Willem and he shows Allyson the beauty of Paris and love. Their story is enchanting and captivating.
JUST ONE NIGHT is charming and can win over many hearts. If you only read Just One Day, like me, and want to pick this up without picking up Just One Year, DO IT. I might have seen new characters, but they didn't bother me. Everything was so light and fluffy. Gayle Forman charms you with her brilliant writing. I suggest you read Just One Day, then go buy JUST ONE YEAR with Just One Click!
